Silent at Night

The phone doesn't ring at midnight anymore.
The text messages at 1:48am have ceased.
Strange comfort was found in the voice and the thought coming through.
Now, the silence wakes me in the middle of the night.
The cell phone illumined reads 2:22am.
No missed call, no text message or voice mail beep.
Just time moving clockwise without a sound.
